LIFE Internship

When you talk to many young adults and ask them what they want to do with their lives, many have no idea. Or, some may think they do, but figure out shortly after, that they were mistaken. The fact is so many young people today are just “winging it” through life because they do not know what God says; most especially what God says about them. We do not want anyone to “wing it” through life when God has a specific plan already mapped out for them.

We have a passion for young adults (18-26 years old) to know who they are and to live the life God designed for them. If the future leaders, mothers, fathers, business owners, and workers do not know who they are, there will be a domino effect of followers who have no direction or concept of life. There will be a generation of people (many who are believers) spending their life wandering when their promised land is right in front of them.

In 2012, we launched our LIFE Internship program to help young adults know and become the individuals God has called them to be! Our goal is to help them know the plan He has for them and to pursue it; to empower them to stop wandering through life and enter the promised land He destined just for them! It is not hard to find, but we know you have to look on purpose to find it!

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

LIFE Internship is a two-year program, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-12pm. It is designed to help young adults Live In Faith Everyday! With bible classes, godly standards and accountability, and weekly serving opportunities, the goal is to help young adults eliminate the distractions and equip them with the tools they need to be everything God has called them to be whether that is in ministry or the business world.

This program has had a tremendous impact on our church and church body by giving 18-26 year olds the opportunity to stop “winging it” and wandering through life and actually take time to really hear God’s voice and direction.

The fact is, we believe in the impact every young person is designed to make in their world and we want to help them discover who and what that is because at the end of their life THAT is the only thing that will matter.

We consider this program a personal “LIFE” coach for young adults by helping them grow, develop, and become everything they were created to be. By the end of LIFE Internship, our goal is for everyone to be confident in hearing the voice of God, to be disciplined to follow His plan for their life, and to be equipped to live the abundant, overcoming life He has already provided!

DEEP Bible Training Center

Discipleship Eliminates Every Problem.

In 2007, we launched a Bible training center called DEEP. The Holy Spirit gave me the acronym for DEEP, which confirmed the desire in me and my wife, Kathy, to teach the young men and women of our community what it took us years to study on our own.

We knew from personal experience that if you build your life on the rock of God’s Word, when problems arise (which to be honest, we know they will), the Word can eliminate them instead of them eliminating you. Over the years we had witnessed believers being “taken out” by the problems of life. It was not that they did not sincerely love God, but rather they did not sincerely know the truth; they had not built their life on the solid rock of the truth of the Word of God. Knowing that DEEP would help every believer lay a solid foundation for their life, we used this scripture as the foundation of DEEP Bible Training Center:

Luke 6:46-49 NKJV
But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.

We have DEEP every Monday night during the school year from 7-9pm, teaching two 55-minute classes. This time allows us to dig deeper in the Word more than what is possible during a Sunday or Wednesday service. DEEP has proved to be a pivotal part of our church and our church’s culture. It helps believers learn the truth on topics such as blood covenant, divine health, authority of the believer, confession — the words of your mouth, and many more. Over the years, we have received countless testimonies from students about how DEEP completely transformed their relationship with God and His Word.

Since the launching of DEEP, we have had over 1,100 people register, with that number growing every year. In the 2018-2019 school year, over 150 students (18 years and older) were enrolled and over 100 K-12th grade students were enrolled in DEEP Bible Training Center. We encourage students to continue taking DEEP year after year knowing every year provides more revelation, growth, and insight.

We know the incredible impact DEEP has, and continues to have, on our church and community so we knew we couldn’t stop there. In 2018, we launched DEEP Extended Fields, which allows people who live outside of Hobbs, NM, and the surrounding communities to attend DEEP Bible Training Center online.

Our goal through DEEP Bible Training Center and DEEP Extended Fields is for believers of all walks and stations of life to know the truth, because without the truth there is no freedom.
