Band of Brothers: Why Accountability Matters
Pastor Dan Berry

The spiritual principle of authority is God’s plan to protect our lives…everyone needs to be accountable to someone.
The human element tends to isolate us, cause us to hide our issues, our attitudes, let alone our sins. Everyone needs someone in their lives, someone close to them that has the freedom to ask us about what’s going on behind the scene of our life.
I wouldn’t want to do what I do without Mike and Monte in my life…they provide a safe place for me to share my struggles. I know that I don’t have to put on a mask around them but rather have the freedom to be open and honest about what is going on in my life…about the struggles I am facing as a man, husband, father and Pastor.
I am not sure how it happened but our love for each other is real and unconditional. There is nothing that I couldn’t share with them about my life.
That being said, it doesn’t mean that it happens all the time…just because you call something accountable, doesn’t mean that it is…
But with us we get there when we need to…we take risks and lay our hearts on the line and as time has passed that openness has strengthened our bond.
Their friendship and commitment to me has kept me in the game, helped me grow as a person and be the husband and father I need to be.
I don’t believe what God has done for the three of us has to be unique…there is someone out there for you…God said that it was not good that man should be alone, so open up your heart and time to whoever it is that God brings to you to be a voice in your life…it will save your life…
