Remembering our Son, Andrew
Tony Cooke
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, our son Andrew transitioned from this life to the next. He was 39. For the first several days after his passing, Lisa, Laura, and I spent much precious time together. We will cherish that time forever. There were many tears, but we all sensed that there were many more waves of grace and peace.
The three of us also experienced a very moving time laying Andrew’s body to rest and commending his spirit to God on Monday, March 16. Certainly, there has been sorrow — we miss Andrew — but because of what we know and Who we know, we do “not grieve as others do who have no hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13 ESV). Our sorrow has truly been infused with hope and comfort.
Those who know our family are aware that Andrew, in addition to having brought enormous joy into our lives, also began facing serious challenges as he stepped into adulthood. As his journey progressed, he yearned to see others helped, especially as they faced similar challenges to what he encountered. Here are links to two articles that he wrote communicating important parts of his journey.

Following Andrew’s passing, Lisa, Laura, and I experienced an amazing outpouring of love, friendship, and support from so many, and we will always be grateful for that. Below are a few pictures capturing some special moments in his and our lives, and we also thought you might enjoy hearing Andrew sing “There is None Like You” (he’s playing the guitar as well as singing). He loved nothing more than worshipping God and enjoying His Presence.
A verse Andrew had marked in his Bible: “I have revealed to them who you are and I will continue to make you even more real to them, so that they may experience the same endless love that you have for me, for your love will now live in them, even as I live in them!” (John 17:26 TPT).
